Gathered
Notes on taste, creativity, family and the art of everyday life.
There’s an idea I’ve had been brewing for a while, but it’s taken a while for it to fully form.
It’s meant putting down some other pursuits, it’s meant being honest with the stage of life I’m in and what I (and my nervous system) need, it’s meant accepting that this is not the time to be starting a business or ‘maxxing’ anything. It’s meant allowing my ‘me time’ to be purely creative, and not productive in any way.
My months of ruminating has resulted in this - Gathered. A space to simply create, to write, to share the beauty in the mundane. To celebrate the ways everyday life can be more considered, to explore what returning to our own taste can look and feel like. To discuss themes of personal style, raising a young family, navigating my 30’s with grace and ease and all the while letting the things I find beautiful guide me.
My dream with Gathered is not to try an influence you to buy something new every week, or parent a certain way, or decorate your home in the style I love - instead my hope for it is to encourage conversation, to help us all remember that intrinsically we know what we believe to be beautiful, how we want to parent, and what feels good to us personally, in a world that has become very, very loud, and very oversaturated with trends.
Gathered is a weekly collection of thoughts, observations and inspirations around living a more considered life. Finding beauty in the ordinary, developing your own taste, and creating a life that feels like yours. An honest reflection on intentionally harnessing creativity to enrich my life.
So if this resonates, I invite you to Gather along with me.
